A Statement from our EMS Administrator – John Hitchens

“Last night I learned of the passing of one of our former employees, Lacey Fox.  Lacey was a long-time employee of our EMS Division and was instrumental in the success of our organization early on in the days after assuming my current role of EMS Administrator in 2016.  Lacey had such a kind soul and believed in our mission statement of “patient care first”.  She cared about her patients and her fellow EMS employees.  We got to know Lacey personally and her family.  The EMS community has lost such a young and vibrant individual.
Lacey was currently employed with Mon EMS.  Words cannot express the anguish our organization feels for our colleagues.  Unfortunately, I know all too well what the next days and months will hold for such an amazing operation as they mourn the loss of one of their own.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mon EMS during this time of grief while fully and unconditionally supporting their staff and administration in the days and weeks to come.
Our prayers are also with her family, especially her children, that she held in such high regard.  We can all learn something from the life that Lacey lived to the fullest.
Lacey, we will all see you again.  Keep everything in order until we get there, as you always do.”

All of us at Star City Fire & EMS express our deepest condolences to Lacey’s family, friends and colleagues as we mourn with them and ask that everyone do the same.
