6/21/16: At 1708 hours Company 20 was dispatched for an exterior balcony fire at Pinnacle Heights apartments. First arriving units advised of a working structure fire, with possible entrapment. After a primary search, it was determined that there was negative entrapment, and one dog and one cat had been able to escape the fire conditions. The fire was found on the back balcony and had extended to the attic. A quick knockdown by fire crews contained the damage to a small portion of the apartment building.
Company 20 would like to thank the members of Engine 123, Engine 135, Ladder 133, Engine 141, Utility 144, Engine 173, Engine 175, Engine 233, Utility 231, Mon EMS Medic 64, and Point Marion, PA Company 33 for their assistance.
While crews were operating on scene of this fire, Engine 147 handled an automatic fire alarm for Company 20 on Poplar Woods Drive.
